The problem no one talks about

How owners end up in the dark

01

You bought it 5 to 15 years ago, through an advisor you no longer speak to.

02

Nobody has explained it to you since — the statements just get filed.

03

You’re unsure of the fees, what the riders do, or where you sit in the surrender schedule.

04

You inherited it from a spouse or parent, and never met the agent who sold it.

Annuities aren’t good or bad. They’re tools — and yours should still fit.

What the review covers

The questions that actually matter

01

What kind of annuity is it?

Fixed, indexed, immediate, deferred — each behaves differently. Variable annuities we identify and refer on.

02

What does it cost?

Mortality and expense charges, rider fees, sub-account fees, and the internal costs you may not know about.

03

What do your riders do?

Income, death benefit, and long-term care riders — what each actually does versus how it was sold.

04

Where are you in the surrender schedule?

What you can withdraw penalty-free, and when the schedule ends.

05

What is the death benefit?

Many owners assume the full account value passes on. The real answer is in the contract.

Frequently asked

Annuity review questions

Is there really anything to review?

Yes. Riders activate at certain ages, surrender schedules end, and the original sales rationale may no longer apply.

What is a 1035 exchange?

A tax-free transfer between annuities. It may create a new surrender period and fees, so any recommendation comes with disclosure documents comparing both contracts.

Will the review cost me anything?

It’s complimentary, with no obligation to do anything afterward.

What if my annuity is actually fine?

Then we tell you so, and you leave with a clearer picture. Many reviews end exactly this way.

Do you work with people outside New Smyrna Beach?

Yes — Edgewater, Port Orange, Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, DeLand, Deltona, Palm Coast, Sanford, and the rest of Volusia County.
